About Proxima

For more than 20 years, the team behind Proxima have worked with and for some of the largest systems management vendors. We have helped many blue-chip organisations extract real business value from their invetsments in systems management, business systems management, service level management, capacity management, job scheduling and workload automation tools.

We have seen how product choice and project planning can hugely affect the ability of IT departments to deliver the business service quality and availability expected by their organisations.

We have also seen how some of the best technologies have been acquired by the large players in the market, only for that technology to be stifled, or watered down in an attempt by those companies to offer a one size fits all solution for systems and service management. Not only that, but those framework or "complete" solutions are hugely expensive, complicated and have a high failure rate. A number of years ago, we rejected the mantra of the big systems management companies and commenced a best of breed approach to deliver quality solutions that really deliver .

To allow these three huge benefits, there are a couple of important requirements:

We have been doing this for years, and now we have decided to drive the costs down further by taking a fresh look at the best new solutions available today.  Proxima Software Solutions  has been founded to do this and we are currently building a portfolio of high quality solutions that can be offered at a much lower price than those from any of the big vendors.
